Event Details

Participants will meet with author Thomas DeWolf as he discusses his personal Journey into his family's long hidden slave trading past. The story is a compelling invitation to explore how our country and many institutions, benefited from this dark chapter. These explorations are essential if we are to move forward to a place of repair and racial reconciliation- an essential ingredient in the social determinants of health. On the surface, Inheriting the Trade is a story of different races today.

Book sales will be sponsored by Barnes and Noble.

Readers will see connections between racism, sexism, religious intolerance and oppression among class, age, and other lines and how it relates to the health of individuals in communities.
